Events & Workshops
Since 2015, Grrrl Zine Fair has been running zine fair events, pop-up gigs, festival stages and exhibitions- through production, curation and collaboration. Events aim to be a safe space for women, trans, non-binary individuals and our allies can explore and share in artworks, music, performances, workshops and skill sharing, talks and of course, zine fairs showcasing the latest feminist self-publishing.

Zine Workshops + talks
The goal of Grrrl Zine workshops is to show that everyone can be creative or express themselves through print. We use zine-making to develop stories and to share artwork, photography and writing, to pull together an individual’s ideas, or to develop a zine collaboratively.
Traditionally zine-making has been all about access and a culture of ‘doing it yourself’ outside traditional journalism and institutions. Zine-making can be an adaptable means of self-expression, an easy way to share information, or a practice of self-care, cutting and pasting intuitively as a cathartic experience.
We curate workshops to suit participants and organisations, whether that’s sharing an in-depth history of the political aspects of zine-making and alternative print publishing; writing and collage-making through mental health awareness workshops; or using the medium to create a zine around an event.
We deliver workshops and talks in person and online, offering anything from a one-hour presentation to five-hour drop-in workshops linked to events, or a full-day structured workshop. To discuss options and see prices, drop us an email and we will send you our zine-making workshop pack.
